The Holy Spirit gives speaking in tongue, gifts and HIS power (sign for believers)

The Holy Spirit give HIS language – 1 Corinthians 12:10

¹⁰ to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

The sign for those who believe is speaking in tongue – Mark 16:17

"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

The speaking in tongue is a sign to recognize GOD’s children who has the language to communicate with GOD. So that those without faith knows how to communicate with GOD.

Just like witches using their spell and incantations to communicate with the devil. And that is why the people will know who is worshiped by the person who worship. - 1 Cor 14:22-25

“Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe.”

“Therefore if the whole church comes together in one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in [those who are] uninformed or unbelievers, will they not say that you are out of your mind?”

“But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all”

“And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on [his] face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.”

The Holy Spirit who gave HIS language - Acts 2:4

“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.”

Talk to GOD which is a spirit - John 4:24.

"God [is] Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

2 Cor 3:17

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.”

God’s will is those who worship in the spirit - John 4:23

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.”

Speaking in tongue speaks straight to the LORD – 1 Cor 14:2

“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands [him]; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.”

The Holy Spirit search our heart, and helps in prayer with unspoken words/complaints – Rome 8:26-27

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

“Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit [is], because He makes intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God.”

Human will to pray in our thoughts, could be wrong – Jacob 4:3

“You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend [it] on your pleasures.”

Father will give Holy Spirit for those who ask, and the Holy Spirit will give HIS language for those who want to speak with HIM

Luke 11:10

"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

Luke 11:11-13

“"If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if [he asks] for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?”

"Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

Don’t use your mind and logic when you use the speaking in tongue. Because human minds is limited, while the spirit is unlimited.

The mind can hinder or kill the spirit so that we can’t use the speaking in tongue.

Matthew 16:23

“But HE turned and said to Peter, "Get behind ME, Satan! You are an offense to ME, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

When someone had been baptized by The Holy Spirit, inside them there’s a spring of living water, but the water didn’t poured out and flow, if they haven’t use the speaking in tongue.

A.   The spring that burst out

Jesus gave the living water so that the water can be poured out from inside of himself

And so, Jesus use HIS servant that already have the living water flow inside of his heart to distribute it

John 4: 13-14

“Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,”

"but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

B.   Tongue and mouth is the water that flow from inside of their heart

Jacob 3:9-12

“With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.”

“Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.”

“Does a spring send forth fresh [water] and bitter from the same opening?”

“Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.”

Proverb 18:4

”The words of a man's mouth [are] deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom [is] a flowing brook.”

Proverb 21:1

The king's heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [Like] the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.
